DAY 10 - DECEMBER 13 & 14, 2002 - Monteverde, San Jose, Milvia Hotel, Flight to the USA

We got up early, had breakfast and coffee, checked out and were driven by Harry to San Jose. On the way back we stopped for lunch and most of us had hamburgers again.

We returned to the Milvia Hotel and Harry left us. The Cropseys and Petticrews went shopping, Gennie and I did the internet and then went for a walk. We met back at the hotel and then went to dinner at the nearby Ambrosia Restaurant. It was a good dinner.

We walked back and got an early wake-up call. We were all ready in the morning but Carlos was 30 minutes late. We found out that we had been given the wrong time. Carlos drove us across town, to the airport where we were dropped off.

We paid our exit tax, checked in and went to wait in the American Airlines lounge for our flight to Dallas. It was uneventful but we had a longer layover in Dallas and then as we got into the plane Craig Cropsey was checked and frisked. He thought he was being picked upon, just new US regulations.

When we got back to DIA, we took the shuttle to Pikes Peak and got into the Petticrew Suburban and the battery was run down. After a short wait, airport personnel came, gave it a boost and we were off. What a great and fun adventure.
