The Best of Portugal
Day 1 – September 3, 2002 – Flight to Frankfurt and Lisbon
We left home at 11:30 or so and went to Denver to see Nanny, my mother in law. We took her some things, a plant and visited her for 15 minutes. We then decided to get on the road as we had no seats on the Lufthansa flight.
We got to DIA and we were the second group in line. Problem: THEIR COMPUTERS WERE DOWN. It took us 1.5 hours to get ourselves checked in and they then told us the plane was late! It was going to be over 2 hours so they gave us a food voucher.
They were nice and tried to get us on another flight but to no avail. We ate at Panda Express ($20) and we were full of Chinese. We went to the gate and we waited. The plane came in at 5:30 and they had lots of people cleaning.
We got on the plane at 6:30 and the plane left the gate at 7:03. The plane was full. I had lots of trouble sleeping so it was a long flight.
