Part 2 - Afternoon in Austin, Texas - Saturday, November 24, 2018 - Visit Schoology Office; Butler Hike and Bike Trail Around Lady Bird Lake; Dinner at Pho Please
We noticed many people on rental electric scooters zipping by us. Vic had always wanted to try riding one of these so Eduardo got out his phone and rented an Uber model called Jump.
After Eduardo figured out the procedures, we all rode for a few minutes. Of course, the guys took to it right away and were racing along the path. Remembering the fall she took last November and her dislocated hip, Gennie was much more cautious, but gave it a good old college try!
Our time at the lake and walking along the Boardwalk and under the Congress Street Bridge was delightful and a definite must-activity for anyone who visits Austin. The stunning scenery, the changing colors of the fall trees, the iconic Austin skyline, and the time we spent together as a family made for a memorable experience.
Just a short drive was the Pho Please on 1920 E Riverside Drive. We enjoyed a bowl of pho, a hot noodle soup served with a side of bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, lime & garnished with scallions, cilantro, & onions. Along with an order of egg rolls and crab rangoons, we recounted all the things we have to be grateful for during this Thanksgiving holiday.
My goodness is that boy tall. I am so glad you had such a nice time. The scooters look like great fun !
Post a Comment!Love it!! Good for you for trying it. I have walked under that bridge - would love to see the bats there someday!! And - I first had Pho in Vietnam on my pre trip there (for Indonesia trip) and loved it - still have to try it here in Fort Collins- some how I don't think it will be as good!

The hotel prepared a box breakfast for us as we had to be in the lobby way before the breakfast room was open.
Last night we found out that our departure flight back to...
