Day 1 Saturday September 6, 2003 – Flight from Denver to Frankfurt, Germany
At 6 AM we got up and were out of the house by 6:45 on our way to pick up Craig and Cindie at Highlands Ranch. We got there at 7:25, packed their luggage in the CR-V and were on our way to DIA by way of E-470. Clear sailing all the way.
We checked in with American, asking to have our seats reassigned and they called Dallas to see what was available as the Frankfurt flight was overbooked. We were told to check with the gate attendants when we arrived.
We boarded the aircraft and had an exit row. We left DIA at 10:30, a little ahead of schedule and arrived early at DF-W. From Concourse C we walked to A and got a little exercise.
Once at Gate 34 we went to the desk and they were super, not guaranteeing but promising to look at the possibility. Soon they called us back and we were given new seats on both the outbound and the inbound flights.
We would sit on the two seat isle on both flights instead of the five across that we had been previously assigned. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 2:45 PM and we left the gate on time.
The pilot told us very early that we would have strong tail-winds and would arrive in Frankfurt much earlier than scheduled. Our flight was uneventful, passing directly over St Johns, Newfoundland and Cork/Cobh, Ireland - two cities that we visited when we were on Holland America this summer.
Day 13 - Saturday, April 22, 2022 - Depart for U.S.

Last night we found out that our departure flight back to...
